The Railway Operating Division (ROD) 2-8-0 is a type of steam locomotive which was the standard heavy freight locomotive operated in Europe by the ROD during the First World War. The ROD adopted the Great Central Railway Class 8K 2-8-0 designed by John G. Robinson in 1911.
Bachmann Europe PLC was formed by Hong Kong based Kader in 1989 with its main UK headquarters in Moat Way, Barwell. The following year they launched the Bachmann Branchline range of 00 gauge models for the British market with the moulds that had previously been used for Mainline Railways and Replica.
